Art, theatre and music all emerge from the same source and are the three components
at
play in Tjåsa's creative work. The eagerness to explore is her main driving force.
She is a co-founder and member of the Papagena Music Theatre, established in 1991. (www.papagena.se) Over the years, Papagena has created more than 15 productions,
and made thousands of performances, touring Sweden and Europe.
In April 2010 she started the company ICEevent and released the website www.iceevent.se

Her latest solo show has a universal language and can be staged anywhere
in the
world.
In the summer of 2007 it was played in Italy and shown in Croatia before that.
Tjåsa has been a singer and songwriter in the group Anna Bandit
from
its
humble
beginnings in 1993. (www.myspace.com/annabandit).
She also performs as a vocalist and has written music for the music theatre
performances
of the Papagena Kulturproduktioner.

Tjåsa is a freelance set designer and doll maker, and apart
from using ice as her preferred sculptural material, she also
works in wood and stone.

At times, she also works at the Östgöta Theatre as a property maker,
for example making dolls for the musical ”The Wizard of OZ”. |
At wintertime 2005 she directed the inauguration of the Icehotel.

| In summertime the same year she collaborated with Stockholm’s Varietee theatre
as the artistic director of “Caravan alterna Magica”– a poetical, musical,
theatrical neo-circus company. |
In the late winter of 2006, she made instruments of ice
for the recording of music in the North Polar Project Exchange.

Rhythm, drama, humour, contrast, composition, cooperation, tension
and presence are important corner-stones in a creative process.
